In the organizer's words:

Come closer, even closer...

In their debut program, the piano duo Bauerecker Stöber sheds light on four handed aspects of closeness in music. Bach chorale arrangements by Reinhard Febel (maybe you get closer to Bach through them, maybe you move away from him) frame the program, which brings together music from the Baroque period to the year 2024.

Schubert's Fantasie, composed near death, Dai Fujikura's piece half remembered city, written for a married couple in which the hands and arms of the players entwine, Mozart's intimate sounds in his Sonata in B flat major, George Crumb's Makrokosmos, which conjures up distant cosmic worlds and reminds us of the fragility and narrowness of our planet, Luciano Berio's touch and finally the commissioned work fühlst du dich voll wohl da oben? by composer Georgia Koumará, which provides insights into the rehearsals and requires physical and musical synchronization between the performers.

Sports psychologist Dr. Lisa Musculus will be a guest, expanding the concert framework with a scientific impulse and in dialog with the two players.
