frauke400- ElektroArtPop

frauke400 appears on stage as a golden alien with a ray cap. She almost seems to be from another planet. But then she comes very close to her audience, roams through the crowd like the stars of the hit parade once did and sings directly to her fans.

Her touching hook lines immediately resonate with women in particular, for example when she sings about communicating with her mother with dementia ("MuttiMutti"), about the "job harmony" she learned as a girl ("Sei geschmeidig") or the urgently needed "transformation" of the patriarchy: "Front men, back men, pull their strings through middlemen".

But what kind of multi-layered music is this, somewhere between pop chanson and disco groove, sometimes reminiscent of Stereo Total or Nina Hagen and then again of 2Raumwohnung or Leslie Hall? "ElektroArtPop" is what frauke400 calls her own creation of idiosyncratic German pop songs: she loves polyphonic vocal lines with an experimental touch, which she arranges on a carpet of poppy and sometimes weird 80s synth sounds with groovy beats, flute and saxophone sounds and her twang guitar.

Each song by frauke400 is a unique piece, for which she processes the world around her with a clear attitude into a kind of "New German Wave for adults".
