We are pleased to invite you to KW Institute for Contemporary Art one Thursday a month from 16:00 to 21:00 with extended opening hours and Free admission! Visit our current exhibitions as part of the Kyiv Biennial - A Bird That Cannot Land.

KW is an exhibition space in Berlin Mitte. The team has set itself the task of dealing with central questions of our present through the production, presentation and mediation of art. Without a permanent collection, KW is characterized by flexibility and openness, as well as the ability to develop a dynamic and contemporary, changing program that strikes a chord with our times.

As a nomadic and international project, the Kyiv Biennial will celebrate its eleventh anniversary in 2026 with exhibitions and events in several European cities. This year, art, sound and discourse will be shown throughout the KW building in Berlin under the title A Bird That Cannot Land. In addition to works by transnational artists, there will also be a large live program that makes voices from diasporic communities in Berlin visible and audible.
