On the occasion of the European Football Championship in Germany, the ball is also rolling at the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress Cultural Center with the new special exhibition "Football Fever - Football History(s) from Rhineland-Palatinate".
Come by and embark on an interactive adventure tour through the various facets of the world's most popular sport. Take a look back at 75 years of Rhineland-Palatinate soccer history with many goosebump-inducing moments, personal anecdotes and curiosities. Did you know that in addition to 1. FC Kaiserslautern, three other Rhineland-Palatinate clubs have become German soccer champions? Or that the first official international match of the women's national team took place in the Oberwerth stadium in Koblenz? Find out more about women's and amateur soccer, the two soccer associations in the state, the path from the football pitch to the Bundesliga and the rules of the game.
The exhibition offers an entertaining and informative visit for soccer fans, families and anyone who wants to learn something about soccer. The main focus is on fun and games. That's why both young and old soccer heroes and all those interested are cordially invited to playfully get to know and try out the different variants and forms of the game of soccer at interactive stations in the indoor and outdoor areas of the exhibition.
The interactive family exhibition at the Landesmuseum Koblenz was created in cooperation with 1. FSV Mainz 05, 1. FC Kaiserslautern, the Fritz Walter Foundation, the German Football Museum, Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz GmbH, Südwestrundfunk, the Rhineland Football Association, the Southwest German Football Association and other partners.
