Future Fest returns on the 14 of September this time at Urban Spree with an eclectic lineup from across the psychedelic spectrum. A real blend of experimental krautrock, new wave and garage rock paired up with visual augmentations by the one and only Sector 7G video collective.
After selling out last year edition at the the now cult 90mil location with the absurd one night only showcase, we are back for another go, this time at Urban Spree.
Meet our lineup!
Zukunft: Berlin's local pysch weirdo heroes. A genre-bending 5-piece outfit that deftly weave the openminded explorations of Krautrock, with the warm, country-infused tones of west coast psychedelia. They are curating this little festival and will be celebrating the vinyl release of their latest record "San Düsseldorf" https://zukunftberlin.bandcamp.com/album/san-d-sseldorf
Acid Rooster: Hailing from Leipzig, we caught these guys by chance last year at a gig at Loophole and we were absolutely blown away. This is the real deal of contemporary, instrumental Krautrock. Deep waves of psychedelic improvisation reaching across the dynamic spectrum. They are blowing up fast and their place at the top of this lineup is well earned https://acidrooster.bandcamp.com/album/acid-rooster
CHAUFAU: Zukunft toured Switzerland with them earlier this year and they could not believe the sound that came out of these 4 young swiss men . This is prog stripped everything that made it lame and re-calibrated for the 21st century, funneling their ambition through wiry post punk and zappa guitar madness. We love them, you will too: https://www.instagram.com/chaufaudispo/
Point No Point: You may recognize many of their characters from other projects, but what they make together stands alone on the scene of contemporary "kraut" influenced bands. Leaning towards off-kilter pop on one side and droney vibrations on the other.https://spaetipalace.bandcamp.com/album/sp026-point-no-point-drift
Blackbird Mantra: Carrying the flame of good ol' psych rock, and hailing from Hamburg, we've caught these guys a couple times at random festivals and gigs around Germany and it always a treat. Great sounds, great songs, just the right amount of nostalgia. https://blackbirdmantra.bandcamp.com/
Saba Lou and Bella Khan: Two daughters of the legendary King Khan, come together for a special one-off performance featuring songs from both of their reportoires. Bella's tunes often swing from the rockier side of the street, while Saba Lou tends to stroll along at more of a tender pace. It's sure to be a treat.
