US rock singer returns to Germany in September after six years
Included in the luggage: the current album "Face The River" (2022)
With his unique and soulful voice, Gavin DeGraw delights his fans around the globe. So it's no wonder that the singer and songwriter has already been nominated for the GRAMMY® Award several times.
Ever since Gavin's song "I Don't Want to Be" became the theme song for the American TV series "One Tree Hill", everyone should be familiar with the US rock singer. This was part of his 2003 platinum-selling debut album "Chariot", on which Davin DeGraw's unmistakable style fully blossomed. It contained further gold singles such as "Follow Through" and "Chariot". The rocket launch was followed by awards and chart placings for his albums "Gavin DeGraw" (2008) and "Sweeter" (2011). His 2013 duet with Colbie Caillat, "We Both Know", earned him another GRAMMY® Award nomination.
Gavin DeGraw is the rare talent who could seamlessly share the stage with Billy Joel and The Allman Brothers or Maroon 5 and Shania Twain. And indeed, this quickly became a reality: Davin DeGraw was allowed to perform several times as exclusive support for his idol Billy Joel and was even personally chosen by the "Piano Man".
In 2020, in collaboration with GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Brandi Carlile), work finally began on Gavin DeGraw's most important album of his career: "Face The River" (2022, RCA Records). From a sparse piano, to a dreamy guitar, to organ-laden beats and a head-nodding bassline: Gavin DeGraw's latest work tells the story of his life. The story of his deceased parents, to whom he dedicates several songs, also plays a major role. The whole thing is accompanied by a characteristic mix of pop, soul, country, folk and funk. "This was the record I absolutely had to make," says Gavin.
In the fall of 2023, the rock singer from the Catskill Mountains will finally return to Germany and play concerts in Hamburg, Cologne and Munich.
