Gehmeditation im Mühlbachtal
In the organizer's words:
One Step at a Time: Walking Meditation in the Mühlbach Valley
: This evening, we’ll learn about walking meditation and then take it to the place where it’s most at home—out in nature. In silence, we’ll walk through a quiet valley nearby—the Mühlbach Valley.
Walking meditation is an important bridge between formal sitting practice and mindfulness in everyday life. Chökyam Trungpa Rinpoche writes:
“Walking meditation is truly very important. It is much closer to your everyday situation than sitting meditation. In the walking practice, you get up from your meditation cushion and get a taste of what it’s like to walk down the street, talk, and work. Walking is therefore a very important transitional phase, even though in this case it is still part of formal practice. From this perspective, you should pay attention to it.”
Dates: Thu, August 13 & 27
Time: 6:00–8:30 p.m.
Meeting place: 6:00 p.m. at the Rigpa Center in Heidelberg (see below)
After a brief introduction and sitting meditation, we’ll carpool to the Mühlbachtal.
If you have any questions, just contact us by email atheidelberg@rigpa.de
Everyone is warmly welcome—whether you have meditation experience or not—so feel free to bring someone along.
