In their play "Geldik, Gördük, Dönemedik", which translates as "We came, we saw, we couldn't go back", Aytaç Sevim and Aydın Çınar explore the changing face of migration (Gurbet) together with the audience.

It is about the first generation that came to Germany as migrant workers, the second generation that grew up here, the third generation that is caught between two cultures and a fourth generation that is increasingly losing touch with the Turkish language.

The play tells these stories in a humorous, approachable and at the same time socially reflective way - from grandparents who arrived with suitcases to grandchildren who say: "Turkish? I understand a bit, but I can't speak it."
