A FLATRATE FOR FEELINGS
Gigolo Tears is non-binary-fronted softcore pop music with self-confident, queerfeminist messages, macker guitars and a hint of bouncy hip hop flavor.
Gigolo Tears surfs the wave between groovy empowerment and cute cry pop. Radically soft and radically strong.
With the EP "Crybaby", which has just been released on AUDIOLITH, "Gigolo Tears" become a pop practice: flirty and vulnerable, the EP translates the inner crybaby into music. "I cry every day" is most likely the wall tattoo of the kitchen in which these bangers are cooked.
Gigolo Tears gave us the menstrual anthem "Cramps" this summer. "I got cramps cramps cramps cramps cramps, I got blood in my underpants" Gigolo tells us coolly. And goes on to explain: "I can do anything, anything you can do, while my abdomen cramps my whole body. I can do everything, everything you can do, while I bleed a few liters relaxed." The vibe of the track is reminiscent of "Hollaback Girl", except that it rains menstrual products while Gigolo chews gum and annoys TERFS and Magger. Currently, the Hyperpop Sped Up version of the song is rotating through the socials.
