RYAN CASSATA has built an impressive career with a remarkable track record of over 800 national and international performances. He has released eight original albums of original music to critical acclaim. Most notably, Ryan made history as the first openly transgender artist on the Vans Warped Tour and has performed on prestigious stages such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Global Pride and SXSW. Advocate Magazine praised him as a "transgender singing sensation," while Paper Magazine included him in its list of "50 LGBTQ Musicians You Must Listen To." LOGO's New Now Next recognized Ryan as one of the "9 Trans Musicians You Need to Know." Recognizing his importance, Billboard Magazine called him a "true force in the industry". It also included him in its list of "11 Transgender and Non-Binary Musicians You Need to Know" and premiered his award-winning music video "Daughter," which has over 2.5 million views on YouTube and 3.5 million streams on Spotify. In 2019, he proudly received the ASCAP Foundation's "Sunlight of the Spirit" songwriting award, named after Mariana and Paul Williams, for his original composition "Jupiter". On his latest album, his debut album on Kill Rock Stars, "Greetings from Echo Park," Ryan Cassata, a genre-bending powerhouse musician and activist, presents a raw collection of folk-punk, blues and pop-punk songs that tell stories of angst, escapism, illness and transphobia.
