Gleis 11

Gleis 11 is a band that weaves together the cultural fabric of Turkish guest workers in Germany. With their music, they capture the heart and soul of the guest worker experience as perceived by different generations. The band is made up of musicians who are sons and grandsons of the first guest workers who came to Germany in the 1960s and 1970s, as well as a new wave of immigrants who have come to the country in search of a better life. Their sound is a fusion of Anatolian folk music and rock music. With their music, Gleis 11 honors the legacy of Turkish guest workers while bringing a fresh perspective.
