Long-distance hike from Bad Godesberg to Oberwinter

Distance: 18.5 km, approx. 350 meters in altitude

Meeting point: Bad Godesberg train station

The walk starts at Bad Godesberg station and leads through the Kupark and Redoutenpark. After a short time, we reach the Marienforster Valley with the Godesberg stream and follow it to the Marienforster Hofgut with its barn roof, which is well worth seeing. From here, the route climbs towards Berkum, always with beautiful views of the Siebengebirge. We pass the moated castle of Odenhausen, cross Berkum and come to the old quarry where stone was quarried for the construction of Cologne Cathedral. Via Oedingen we come to the Kaolingrube (porcelain quarry) and up to Himbrich, before a longer descent takes us to Oberwinter.

We recommend high, sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for the weather conditions.

The tours are not suitable for children under the age of 12 and are carried out at a brisk pace. All participants should feel fit and in good health to tackle these routes. Participation is at the participant's own risk and with their consent.
