Formed as a quartet in 2013 by Koshiro Hino, goat’soriginal lineup consisted of guitar, saxophone, bass, and drums. Today’s evolution features a quintet that fluidly switches instruments depending on the song. Disregarding traditional musical forms, their melodies focus on muted sounds and harmonics outside the 12-tone scale. Their minimalist compositions are an exercise in persistent repetition, filled with contradictions—complex yet simple, mechanical yet sensual—and their performances evoke an almost trance-like state.

Arsenal Mikebe is a cutting-edge percussion ensemble based on the outskirts of Kampala. Having developed a heavy, physical drumming style interspersed with soul vocals and jungle-infused trance, they are the industrial-organic rhythm machine dressed in sexy Armani.
