Blazing Redemption: The Grand Finale of the Opera Saga “The Ring of the Nibelung”
The gods have outlived their purpose and, in their castle Valhalla, long for only one thing: the end. Meanwhile, Siegfried leaves his beloved Brünnhilde behind to seek new adventures. Caught in a web of intrigue and betrayal, the hero Siegfried ultimately meets his end—and Brünnhilde bears some of the blame. But in the end, it will be she who returns the Ring to the Rhine Maidens, thereby breaking Alberich’s curse once and for all. Richard Wagner’s tetralogy ends in a conflagration that consumes the world, and Brünnhilde becomes the world’s savior.
