To kick off our Escape Game, we invite you to an adventure event on May 30, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. all about the "Night Watch". The program includes guided tours on the topic:

"Fascination of Darkness", a family rally, a mobile mini escape game by the Timebreak agency, creative activities, cocktail tours in the evening, cool drinks and spectacular views from the rooftop bar of the Landesmuseum, which we are opening especially for this evening, as well as many other activities for children and adults.

Admission to the museum is free of charge on this day.

The fascination of darkness: a night walk in the museum

On this short night walk through the ages, you will discover why and how painters painted the night in the past. You'll be amazed: not everything is just dark and black at night! On this hike, you will master three stages: from a nocturnal forest to a sleeping city and ending in an inn at night. During this adventure, you will solve exciting puzzles and answer tricky questions. Take a close look and help each other!

Escape Game, 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.

The night watch at the LVR-Landesmuseum Bonn has been canceled - and you step in. Equipped with a flashlight and a night watchman's set, you run through a course full of surprises. Will you be able to solve the mysterious events before the museum reopens?

Escape game time slots can be booked online from 04.05. and on site at the museum, subject to availability. Puzzle fans of all ages and families with children aged 6 and over, max. 6 people per group, 10.00 euros, registration here

The fascination of darkness: a night walk in the museum

On this short night walk through the eras, you will be accompanied by a guide who will lead you on your journey of discovery through art history. Together you will explore why and how painters depicted the night in the past. You will immerse yourself in the past and hear fascinating stories. On your guided walk, you will solve exciting puzzles and answer tricky questions step by step.

The creative puzzle professionals from Timebreak Bonn present their work and other escape rooms in Bonn. You can test your puzzle skills in a mobile mini escape game in the format of a tricky puzzle box.

Cocktail tour: The fascination of darkness, 5:30 pm, 7 pm, 8 pm

Immerse yourself in the darkness! The night has fascinated artists for centuries. But with it also comes light: be it moonlight or candlelight. Discover how the night has been staged in paintings - from biblical depictions to Dutch still lifes. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to reflect on the impressions you have gained over a sundowner and enjoy your visit to the museum in the twilight atmosphere of the rooftop bar high above the rooftops of Bonn.
