15-year-old Sarah keeps escaping into fantasy worlds. When she has to look after her little brother Toby one evening, he won't stop crying and she promptly wishes that he would be kidnapped by goblins. Suddenly Toby is actually gone and the goblin king Jareth appears: Sarah is given 13 hours to free her brother from his castle. If she fails to do so, Toby will be turned into a goblin. However, Jareth's castle is surrounded by a huge labyrinth...
THE JOURNEY TO LABYRINTH may have been a failure at the box office, but it quickly established itself as a cult film - not least thanks to music legend and leprechaun king David Bowie!
