Hahnwald - Herausragende Architektur im Kölner Süden | Radtour

The villa suburb of Hahnwald was built on fields and farmland 110 years ago. The American dentist Harvey Cotton Merrill (1862-1953) had an estate built there in 1913. His son Theodor became the initiator of further building development. Since the end of the 1920s, spacious villas of wealthy Cologne citizens have been continuously built on plots of at least 1000 square meters.
Inaddition to many Victorian-inspired dream villas, you will also find outstanding architecture by Joachim Schürmann, Peter Neufert and Hans Schilling on 3 km².And we take a look at them.
