The Californian indie pop & alternative rock band with their new album "Persona" in Munich, Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne in May 2025

In their music, half-alive from Long Beach, California, celebrate an indie-heavy sound between pop and electronic-influenced alternative rock that has long since made a name for itself worldwide. Their choreographed music video for "still feel." has over 82 million views on YouTube and has been streamed over 157 million times on Spotify with its groovy sound, making the track the most successful song of their career to date. In addition to the debut track "The Fall" (76 million streams) released in 2017 and the accompanying debut EP "3", "RUNAWAY", "arrow" and "creature" from the successful album "Now, Not Yet" released in 2019 join the list of the most successful and popular songs, which is rounded off by "What's Wrong", "Summerland" and "Hot Tea" from the album "Conditions Of A Punk" released in 2022. After their own headline tours around the world, the band played as support for Twenty One Pilots in 2021 and 2022. In May 2025, half-alive will be coming to Germany for four concerts with their new album "Persona".

After releasing an EP with his band The Moderates in 2013, singer Josh Taylor took part in a songwriting project from November 2015 with the aim of writing 50 songs by the end of the year. Drummer Brett Kramer, whom he knew from church, supported him, which led to the formation of the band half-alive. After The Moderates disbanded, "The Fall" was the first single from Josh Taylor's new project in 2007 and has become one of their biggest hits since its release. With the two further singles "Awake At Night" and "Tip Toes", the debut EP "3" was released in 2017, after which bassist J. Tyler Johnson joined the band. This was followed in August 2018 by the single "still feel." as the first hint of the release of the upcoming debut album "Now, Not Yet". The debut album was released in 2019 after the release of the single "arrow" via RCA and entered the US Top Alternative Albums at number 15 and the Top Rock Albums at number 46. The EP "In Florescence" followed in 2020, on which half-alive performed four tracks that did not make it onto the debut album in an orchestral version. The EP was accompanied by the documentary "Now, Not Yet: in Florescence", which was released on the band's YouTube channel. Between the singles "What's Wrong" and "Summerland", the band released "Time 2" in 2021 as a standalone single for the band, who had long been working on their next album. After the release of the "Give Me The Shoulders, Pt. 1" EP in February 2022, half-alive expanded the seven tracks of the EP into a full album, which followed in December 2022 under the name "Conditions Of A Punk" with 18 tracks via RCA. The album was promoted extensively in 2023 with a tour of North America, the UK and Europe, after which the band also toured Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. After a live EP ("Live From Chicago") in 2023 and an acoustic EP ("At Fingerprints (Acoustic)") in April 2024, half-alive announced their third album "Persona" with the release of the single "Sophie's House", which was released on November 15, 2024.
