HALT

In the organizer's words:

HALT is set in the Cologne-Ossendorf prison. It is about security and structure, about setting boundaries and setting oneself free in the absence of freedom.

The performers from the prison bring strong, original texts to the stage in an intense mix of music, movement and words.

Special features in the JVA

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to a security check in the Federal Central Register.

It is not permitted to bring bags into the prison.

A valid identity card or passport is required for admission to the prison.

The event hall at Cologne Prison is not barrier-free and is not suitable for wheelchair users.

In principle, no guests under the age of 14 are allowed into the prison. Admission for minors over the age of 14 is only permitted together with a legal guardian.

Data check in advance:

For the visit to the JVA, we are obliged to request personal data from all guests (first name and surname, date and place of birth, current registration address). We have to pass this data on to the Cologne Ossendorf Prison for verification purposes. All personal data will be treated confidentially!

The general data check is the reason why advance booking for these events ends 10 days before the start of the event.

Admission and control on site:

At the entrance to the JVA, all guests will have their valid identity card (or passport) checked and exchanged for a visitor:inside pass for the duration of their stay. As admission will take some time, we ask everyone to arrive early.

Electronic devices, handbags and rucksacks cannot be taken into the prison. We therefore ask you to leave these at home / in your car. Some lockers are otherwise available in the JVA.

Duration: approx. 90 minutes

On May 14, the performance will be translated into German Sign Language (DGS) and Easy Language and accompanied by an audio description.

A touch tour will take place on May 14 at 5:30 pm.

The various support requirements can be specified when purchasing tickets. This allows us to prepare well.

The route to the auditorium involves a number of steps and stairs (including a spiral staircase). The hall is therefore not accessible for wheelchair users and has limited access for people with walking disabilities. There is no barrier-free toilet.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog to the performance.

Please let us know if you would like to be picked up from the nearest bus or train stop and accompanied to the venue.
