In the organizer's words:
Hańba! "Autumn trip 2026"
& support: Ilse Krohn Superiors (Kiel)
Hańba! (engl.: Shame!) is a post-folk-punk dance party at the end of the world as we know it.
In 2013, a group of musicians in Krakow asked themselves the question: what if punk rock hadn't emerged in the British Isles in the 70s, but in Poland in the late 20s?
Similar to the Weimar Republic, a modern and avant-garde cultural scene shone in Poland at the time, but dark times were already looming politically. It is precisely this atmosphere - just before the outbreak of war - that the band wants to capture and play today. To do so, they use Polish poetry of the time, which seems frighteningly topical.
Hańba! has absorbed the artistic inspiration of that era and the spirit of the working class just as strongly as the punk and hardcore rebellion spirit. However, it dispensed with guitars and instead used banjo, accordion, clarinet, drum and... tuba.
Hanba! has toured the USA, the UK, Australia, Spain, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands and played at the most prestigious music festivals. Among them are PAASPOP 2022 & 2024, MONA FOMA 2019, Rudolstadt Festival 2018, Womad Festival 2018, WOMEX 2017, Primavera Festival 2017, Open'er Festival 2017, SXSW 2017, and Colours of Ostrava 2017.
llse Krohn Superiors, the congenial Kiel quartet, present a colorful bouquet of rumpy melodies across the entire musical genre. Rock-pop-tango-ska-folk-3/4 time. Something between riot and kitsch polka, between sky-high jubilation and the depths of one's own soul, between 'hard choir' and tender, between pub brawl and hot milk with honey. You can expect a concert experience for the whole family - just like a good MB game from 8 to 88.
So screw on your dancing legs and oil up your voices ... the Superiors are riding again!
