Probably the most famous band on German television with rock, pop, funk and jazz in perfection

The heavytones, who have appeared in over 2,500 late night shows with Stefan Raab, as well as in special formats such as "Unser Star für Oslo" or "Gottschalk's große 90er Show", have been the most present and high-profile band on German television for almost two decades. With their powerful live sound, they decisively shape the character of the respective TV and live shows. Over the years, the outstanding quality of the heavytones has made them a much sought-after backing band, and the list of international stars with whom they have worked LIVE is correspondingly long:

Kylie Minogue, Adele, James Brown, Herbert Grönemeyer, Lionel Richie, Michael Bublé, Joe Cocker, Eminem, Tom Jones, Anastacia, Joss Stone, Katie Melua, Ronan Keating, Sugababes, Anastacia, Busta Rhymes, No Angels, Mary J. Blige, Bootsy Collins, Ricky Martin, Natasha Bedingfield, Jan Delay, Pussycat Dolls, Melanie C., Chris Isaak, Jason Mraz, David Garrett, Cecilia Bartoli, Curtis Stigers.
The heavytones were also involved in the esc castings and thus in the birth of today's German music greats such as Stefanie Heinzmann, Max Mutzke, Gregor Meyle or Lena Meyer-Landrut, and supported these then still young artists in getting out of their musical starting blocks.

The heavytones also enjoy an excellent reputation beyond the television industry and have earned their own place in the German music landscape with their four CD releases "heavytones No. 01" (2006), "Freaks Of Nature" (2010), "Songs That Didn't Make It To The Show" (2015) and "a tribute to Earth Wind and Fire" (2019) as well as their performances as a LIVE ACT. Not only the recognizable and flexible band sound is impressive, but also the high class of the instrumentalists, who, apart from the heavytones, are also on the road with artists such as "Till Brönner", "Marc Forster", Herbert Grönemeier, the Fantastischen Vier, or Helene Fischer at their tour concerts.

They proved this not least in spring 2024, when they started a joint live tour with the rapper "Xatar", with his rap music in the rearranged heavytones - funk - dress and immediately sold out large venues such as the Elbphilharmonie, the Philharmonie Köln and the Staatsoper in Stuttgart.
It is not presumptuous of the heavytones to say that you can look forward to more live dates with the band.
