heimkino.: VERTIGO (OV)

Former police officer John “Scottie” Ferguson suffers from a fear of heights following a botched operation and resigns from the force. As a favor to his old school friend Gavin Elster, he takes on a case as a private investigator: Scottie is to discreetly tail Elster’s wife, Madeleine. Elster believes his young wife is possessed by the malevolent spirit of her great-grandmother and fears that Madeleine will take her own life—just as her ancestor did 110 years ago. 

"heimkino." is a project in collaboration with Flugmodus GmbH, aimed at creating a home in Ehrenfeld for the community of film and cinema lovers. As part of this new series, we bring classic films and lesser-known masterpieces back to the big screen every Wednesday. Each month is dedicated to a common overarching theme. Through this, we aim to offer the audience different cinematic perspectives on the same topic, find answers together, and ask new questions. In July, we’ll be screening four films on the theme of CAN’T LET GO. We look forward to seeing you there!
