Helene Bockhorst - Lebefrau

In the organizer's words:

Helene Bockhorst’s new show is an ode to life.
Dark humor meets colorful outfits and silliness as she tackles the uncomfortable questions: Why is a man who enjoys himself a bon vivant, while a woman is simply a slut? Should family traditions be carried on at all costs, even if they involve depression and unhealthy coping mechanisms? What can I do to make the world a better place—without going to too much trouble? And am I at least one of the more interesting cases for my therapist?
With her open and honest manner, she takes the audience on an emotional roller coaster ride, where humorous observations of everyday life find their place alongside life-changing experiences. Between the lines
the question of how to maintain a sense of lightness and hope even in difficult times.
A show about trauma, depression, resilience—and the fact that you can always find a reason to laugh, even when life isn’t going the way you’d like it to.
