In the organizer's words:

The European elections on June 9 are all about protecting liberal democracy. Three young visionaries pitch their ideas for an innovative Europe and then discuss with EU politician Svenja Hahn and author Martin Speer how we can strengthen Europe.

In the first week of June, Europe faces a groundbreaking decision: almost 65 million people in 27 countries will be asked to vote. Where will the European Union drift after the election? In times of anti-democratic movements, the Ukraine conflict and the possible re-election of Donald Trump in the USA, the European model is under more pressure than ever. European democracy urgently needs an update in order to regain the trust of its citizens.

What could long-term strategies look like that are solution- and future-oriented? With Milad Tabesch from the initiative "Ruhrpott für Europa", Theresa Gröninger from "Best Politics" and Anna Peters from "Fiscal Feminist Hub", three young people will pitch their ideas for an innovative Europe and then discuss participation and shaping the European Union with Svenja Hahn, Member of the European Parliament, and the author Martin Speer.

Beforehand, between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., you will have the opportunity to complete the Wahl-O-Mat for the European elections in the Körber Start-Hub.
