Hertzflimmern 2025: Tom Liwa & Athina Kontou

Tom Liwa, the great exceptional storyteller among German-language singer-songwriters, honors us again with his old magic guitar and many new songs that can easily compete with his 2022 album EINE ANDERE ZEIT, at that time record of the year at the German Rolling Stone. He will be accompanied by the wonderful bassist Athina Kontou.

As an artist, Tom Liwa does not fit into any prefabricated scheme or pigeonhole. He founded the band Flowerpornoes in 1985 and has been active as a solo artist since 2000. His most recent record "Primzahlen aus dem Bardo" (Prime Numbers from the Bardo) offers great narrative cinema with airy, grooving improv folk rock with cross (and queer) references almost everywhere.

For the concert at the Pasinger Fabrik, he will be joined by bassist Athina Kontou. In her band Mother, the award-winning musician combines modern jazz sounds with Greek traditions. She is a master of improvisation - and together with Tom Liwa will add another dimension to the songs from "Eine andere Zeit" and "Primzahlen aus dem Bardo" and perhaps also to one or two repertoire classics.
