Tomorrow I'm going to knit myself a bunch of butterflies from old newspapers. I put them in a vase with raspberry syrup and wish them a happy birthday. I add Tuesday to Monday and Wednesday to Tuesday and I do the same with the other days of the week. Except for Sunday, which I put under my pillow and dream of the clouds.
Thing Poem No. 174
I am the trumpet.
If I could no longer toot,
I would not know
what I would do.
The Süddeutsche Zeitung writes about Verena Richter:
"Verena Richter is a poet [...] who is able to transform her distinct sensorium for the delicacy of things into lyrical gems."
"Unheard-of virtuosity, or unheard-of interpretation or even unheard-of music is often said and written about at a sensational concert, but these terms rarely apply to the inspiringly extraordinary as they do to Verena Richter's evening [...]."
