HEUKING Legal Session 2: Later-Stage Founder

As part of Startup Week Düsseldorf, we are once again inviting aspiring entrepreneurs, startup teams, and young companies to our workshop series, “HEUKING Legal Session 2.” The event provides a concise and practical overview of the key legal issues facing technology-focused startups during their formation, growth, and financing phases. Experienced experts will provide insights into current developments, the legal framework, and typical challenges encountered in business practice.

The focus is on forward-looking legal topics: digital law, intellectual property protection (IP law), and the specific legal considerations in the fields of defense, space, and dual-use technologies. Another key focus is on patent and innovation protection for software- and AI-based business models.

In addition, participants will gain valuable insights into the legal foundations of venture capital financing and learn which aspects are particularly relevant in investor participation and funding rounds.

The program is rounded out by a specialized presentation on medical law for MedTech, HealthTech, and BioTech startups.

The event is primarily aimed at existing startups that wish to expand their legal knowledge and prepare for future growth and financing phases. Of course, individuals with initial startup ideas are also welcome. In addition to in-depth expertise, participants will benefit from real-world examples and the opportunity to engage with the speakers.
