When INTERCONNECTION takes to the stage, a musical space without borders is created. The international project brings together musicians from different countries, musical traditions and walks of life - united by jazz, improvisation and the common search for sound, exchange and encounter.
The band moves between contemporary jazz, newly interpreted standards and their own compositions. Oriental influences meet experimental sounds, free improvisation meets melodic passages. The result is a multi-layered, open sound between tradition and the present.
They are joined by Mongolian pianist Yadamjav Battogtokh, jazz drummer Frederik Palupski, saxophonist Moritz Christiansen, guitarist Fabio Joel Tunno and double bassist Martin Gruet, who has already worked with the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra. Together they create music as a collective process - sometimes subtle and reserved, sometimes powerful and full of energy.
As part of the "HfK meets La Strada" series, three concerts will take place on the Open Space stage on Friday evening:
19.00: Cajuzinho & Cor em Canto
7.45 pm: Trombone Quartet of the University of the Arts
20.15 hrs: INTERCONNECTION
