The Highfield Festival confirms 21 new acts for 2025: In addition to the already confirmed K.I.Z, Deichkind, Kontra K and Clueso are among those announcing their participation in one of the biggest music festivals in eastern Germany at Lake Störmthal near Leipzig from August 15 to 17.

Eloquent escalation: Deichkind have become part of contemporary German-speaking culture. The Hamburg-based band combines hip-hop and electro to create a sound that belongs to them alone. Musical innovation is joined by lyrics whose hedonism has deliberate holes that allow you to look deep into the abyss. Deichkind holds a disco ball in front of their fans' faces without pointing a finger, and their latest album "Neues vom Dauerzustand" is no exception in this respect. But fans who are simply out for a good time can also look forward to it: because live, Deichkind consistently perform as if there is no tomorrow.

For Kontra K, music is both art and competitive sport: the former provides lyrics that give voice to the highs and lows of many people - the latter for indomitable ambition that regularly results in records. The 19-song album "Die Hoffnung klaut mir niemand" is no exception in this respect: it shot to number one in the charts in 2023 and achieved gold status. Another confirmation for one of the most influential voices in German rap, which should come as no surprise to the tireless Berliner.

Clueso's latest album is also on a grand scale, although its title "Album" couldn't be simpler. The singer, rapper, songwriter and producer no longer needs big words on the cover, as the 44-year-old already uses them masterfully in his songs: Here, haunting lyrics meet anthemic melodies that are emotional but never pathetic. Especially on the biggest stages, which Clueso regularly sells out on his current tour, this combination creates concert moments that old fans and new admirers will remember for a long time to come.

Nina Chuba, The Kooks, Von Wegen Lisbeth, Bilderbuch, Paula Hartmann, Madsen, Grossstadtgeflüster and Leoniden have also been announced for great shows. With 102 Boyz and Mehnersmoos, two highly regarded hip-hop crews are also joining the line-up.

Blond, Zebrahead and Bibiza will also be part of the top-class program. Paula Carolina and Ikkimel will also be playing on the stages at Lake Störmthal, whose program will also be enriched by The Subways, Alli Neumann and 100 Kilo Herz.
