Memory and the artistic documentation of endangered languages. Talk and presentation with Atena Alaie, Jörg Heiser, Simo Kupiainen and Mandana Seyfeddinipur.
In a joint study program of the Institute for Art in Context and the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme, artists and linguists examine how the languages we speak or do not speak shape our identity, our ways of thinking, our social interactions and, last but not least, our culture of memory. Two works created in this context will be presented during the talk.
Atena Alaie and Simo Kupiainen are artists and participants in the "Art in Context" program at the Berlin University of the Arts.
Jörg Heiser is Director of the Institute for Art in Context at the University of the Arts.
Mandana Seyfeddinipur is Director of the Endangered Languages Documentation Program at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
This event is part of the project Ari In Transit, a project workshop at ZK/U in cooperation with the Körber Foundation.
