In the organizer's words:
Private individuals open up their yards and backyards and sell what they no longer need. Clothes, books, household goods, toys, sometimes even real vintage treasures. The markets are usually smaller and more personal than traditional flea markets and are spread across different parts of the city, so many visitors turn the tour from yard to yard into a short day of exploring the city.
