Home Stories Weekend: Lyrik-Workshop für Kinder
In the organizer's words:
On September 4 and 5, the Freischwimmer are hosting a colorful program of workshops centered around the “open book” for stories from the neighborhood.
Alongside the construction workshop—in which Krefeld residents work together to build a life-size book sculpture—various other workshops offer opportunities for creative engagement with the neighborhood, the city pool, and the people who are active here.
Wienke Treblin kicks things off with a poetry workshop for children ages 8 to 12. During the one-and-a-half-hour session, participants will create short texts and poems.
Who is it for?

When?
September 4, 3:30–5:00 p.m.
Where?
Freischwimmer Start Pool, Entrance: Gerberstr. 53

The workshop will be led by Wienke Treblin. Wienke is active in the local literary scene as an author and illustrator, holds regular readings, and has already published her own poetry collections. As a cultural educator, she has been teaching art to children and teens for several years.
Please register so we can estimate the number of participants!
The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Municipal Affairs, Construction, and Digitalization of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and is therefore free of charge.
Of course, the association would still appreciate a donation (which can be made upon registration or on-site). :)
