In the Honey Flow workshop, participants explore how somatic bodywork and urban dance practice can be combined. Using visual associations such as the "honey metaphor", a soft, viscous, flowing movement quality is developed, which is then transferred into a light commercial choreography. The focus is less on perfecting steps and more on embodying groove, flow and presence. Playful improvisation phases and short choreographic sequences lead the group from an introspective perception to a performative energy of expression.

Young adults and adults - with and without dance experience - are invited.

The workshop takes place in cooperation with TanzFaktur as part of the DSHS MA Dance program.

About David & Anja:

David Bomke is an interdisciplinary artist and dance mediator from Cologne. After gaining experience in performance, film design and commercial dance, he increasingly devoted himself to choreographic work and was co-founder and artistic director of the musical association Musical Art Students Cologne. His practice operates at the intersection of somatic perception, pop culture and performative identity. David is currently studying for a Master's degree in Dance: Mediation, Research and Artistic Practice at the German Sport University Cologne. In his dance work, he combines physical sensitivity with rhythmic precision and a queer, experimental approach to movement. He is particularly interested in how dance qualities - such as groove, presence and flow - can be experienced through imagination, emotion and body awareness.

Anja Getz is a trained movement teacher. She came to dance through the sporting aspect and has mainly tried her hand at commercial dance and hip hop. She took part in various championships and competitions throughout Germany. During her training, she became more familiar with the artistic aspect of dance. This was followed by projects, work shadowing and several further training courses in choreography, dance theater and various dance styles. Anja is currently studying for a Master's degree in Dance - Mediation, Research and Artistic Practice at the German Sport University Cologne, is a judge for various competitions and teaches several courses of all ages in the styles of ballet, hip hop and commercial.
