Ian Fisher traded his home state of Missouri for Europe when he was twenty-one years old - and hasn't stopped making music from the distance between the two since. 2027 marks his 25th year on stage and his 20th year as a recording artist. His nearly two thousand songs and 20 albums combine a rural childhood in the American Midwest with a dark tenderness shaped by many years on the road. Endless touring through Europe, North America and Africa has forged a stage presence that has grown over a lifetime: intense, intimate and honest. You can hear the acoustic bite of an early Jeff Tweedy, the sentimentality of Townes Van Zandt and the political stance of Billy Bragg in what Rolling Stone calls "A world traveler's perspective on American folk-rock". Fisher's concerts reach deep into his tried-and-true repertoire of the past decades while pushing forward with new, carefully crafted songs for our time. When he's not on tour, he can be found writing between his studio in Vienna, Austria, and his family farm in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, USA.

To mark his 25th anniversary on stage, Ian will be releasing a book in January and a retrospective album in early fall.
