Six women and men who have been fascinated by figure skating their whole lives—and are finally living out their passion in their later years. They compete in the World Amateur Figure Skating Championships, held every year in Oberstdorf, Bavaria. Their courage and determination to pursue their goals despite all odds are a spirited challenge to age, mortality, and the obsession with youth. Alexandra Sells’ touching documentary tells of the longing to realize one’s lifelong dreams, of the courage and energy it takes to make them come true, and of the immense joy when they do.
