Ilgen-Nur - Purple Moon Tour 2023

Almost four years after the last release of songwriter Ilgen-Nur, her acclaimed debut album "Power Nap", there is now a new musical sign of life. July 07 will see the release of her new song "Purple Moon", the genesis of which is closely linked to a very specific city. Where one door closes, another usually opens and those who know Ilgen-Nur know that she seizes opportunities directly and is not afraid to jump into the deep end. Such was the case in early 2020, when she was in the U.S. for SXSW, but the festival fell victim to the Corona-related shutdown. But instead of heading home as quickly as possible, Ilgen stayed in Los Angeles. She fell in love with the city and found a second home there. More stays followed over time, during which she was inspired and wrote various songs, including "Purple Moon". The song was then recorded together with Jon Joseph in his studio in San Pedro, south of (who would have thought it?) Los Angeles. Little wonder then that "Purple Moon" also feels like the city and manages to convey an idea of the special attitude towards life there. Musically she stays true to her "melancholic slacker sound", but at the same time shows a development towards a multi-layered and adult style. At the end of the year, Ilgen-Nur can be seen live again on her "Purple Moon Tour 2023". The eponymous song will then probably find its way onto every setlist and conjure up a touch of L.A. in the German and Austrian venues.
