Excursion

The decagon of St. Gereon is one of the most impressive buildings in medieval Cologne.

But for almost a century, the area around the church was dominated by Robert Gerling's insurance company.

Following the demise of the insurance company, the "city within the city" has been filled with new life since 2015.

The tour tells of balloon samples, underground corridors and roof terraces. Both the circular and horseshoe buildings and the high-rise are still - or once again - eye-catchers in the district.
