In the organizer's words:
Four people, no prepared scenes and an audience full of ideas: Could be worse! brings improvisational theater to the stage that is spontaneous, lively and different every time.
Between humorous chaos, surprising twists and turns and honest moments, the result is an evening without a script - but with a lot of fun.
Könnt' schlimmer sein! was born out of an encounter on an improv course and the shared realization that we enjoy playing together and want to keep going. Therese, Sebastian, Martin and Andreas have been performing on stage as a permanent formation since 2025, combining different experiences, backgrounds and playing styles to form a joint ensemble.
What unites the four of them is their enthusiasm for spontaneous storytelling, surprising characters and the magic of stories that are created without a script. Their training has taken them from local improv greats in the Rhine-Neckar region to workshops and festivals with national and international improv artists. Living in Mannheim, the Odenwald, Stuttgart and the Palatinate, they regularly travel many kilometers for rehearsals and performances - out of conviction that good improv theater thrives above all on trust, the joy of playing and the courage to jump into the unknown together.
The audience provides inspiration from which live scenes, characters and stories are created that will only exist once. And if something does go wrong: it could be worse
