It is no coincidence that Ensemble Recherche is one of the world's leading interpreters of contemporary music.

The Freiburg musicians reside under the same roof as the equally renowned Freiburg Baroque Orchestra in the Ensemblehaus, which was built in 2012. It is therefore fitting that they also play in an atmospherically special building at ACHT BRÜCKEN and create what is probably the first contact between the Wolkenburg and contemporary music. Farzia Fallah's fragile interplay of timbres requires sensitivity for subtle nuances.

In addition to Enno Poppe, Po-Chien Liu is also represented with a commissioned composition. Winner of last year's ACHT BRÜCKEN composition competition while still a student, he is now once again venturing deep into the fascinating realms where noise and sound, tone and music meet.

The concert will be recorded for radio by WDR. The broadcast date and link will be announced here at a later date.
