Today at the Bahnhof, we’re kicking off a wild journey through the history of independent music—back to the days when it was all about the music. Parties took place in clubs, not as massive, over-the-top events in huge arenas. Today, we’re serving up that vibe and the sounds of the past with a timeless mix rooted in the ’60s and ’70s, spiced up with a dash of punk and post-punk, and refined with a pinch of ’80s rock, pop, and wave, indie pop, and maybe a touch of grunge. The whole thing is rounded out with ’90s Britpop and the indie revival of the 2000s. That’s right—a genre-spanning mix. Of course, it’s guaranteed to get you dancing and singing along.
