Inspired by Beethoven's great liberation opera "Fidelio", the music theater collective [in]operabilities searches for freedom and connection with ES IST NICHT LEICHT, ES IST NICHT LEICHT, ES IST NICHT LEICHT. From sound and vibration, singing and sign language poetry, from light, touch and sung audio description, forms of music-making emerge that explore what opera can be. Strengthened by the utopian pathos of the later deaf composer Beethoven, the artists are once again developing a joint musical practice that connects and addresses different styles of perception, following the previous projects A SINGTHING, DIE INSEL and DIE WELLEN. Is it possible to remain connected, vulnerable and free in the face of a catastrophic present? Can music help?
