SKART & MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Fury

Arguing people are disagreeable, irrational, annoying and often lack empathy. However, starting arguments also offers the opportunity for self-empowerment. So how do we deal with quarrels and anger? With FURY, the mixed-age Hamburg performance collective SKART & Masters of the Universe explores the physical and constructive potential of the taboo subject of arguments. Once again in congenial collaboration with members of the inclusive ensemble Meine Damen und Herren, and together with pupils from the Eidelstedt district school, residents of the Epiphanienhaus Winterhude retirement home, Gob Squad's Sarah Thom and Hamburg performance multitool Günter Reznicek, they encounter social and intergenerational disputes in a sensual way and translate social tensions and psychic states of emergency into crazy rituals and playful performance moments. Without suppressing their anger, they theatrically intensify, visually scrutinize and rub against each other without restraint until great interpersonal warmth no longer leaves anyone cold.
