Painting from material, movement and perception

This workshop focuses on intuitive work with earth pigments. Starting from the material, an open process is created in which you do not follow a fixed motif, but rather what is revealed in the process.

Traces, layers and transitions develop from movement, perception and decision. The work is reduced and at the same time intense: you encounter the material directly, partially let go of control and develop trust in a process that unfolds step by step. Impulses from body-oriented work support you in finding your own rhythm and exploring the connection between body, material and image.

The longer working time together creates a calm, coherent process in which there is room for both concentrated work and exchange. The workshop therefore also has a collaborative quality - working alongside and with each other, which develops organically over the course of the day.

The result is a day that almost feels like a temporary shared workspace. The workshop builds on "Colors of the Earth", but can also be attended individually.

You will be accompanied by Emilia Anemone Houzer, artist and guest lecturer at the Alanus University for Embodiment and Intuitive Work with the Earth.

Why take part? You will deepen your artistic work, develop a new closeness to the material and explore intuitive ways of finding images.

Who is it for? For everyone aged 16 and over. Suitable for beginners and advanced artists.

Materials All basic materials are included in the price.

Good to know Water, coffee, tea and small snacks are provided during the workshop. There will be a longer break during which there will be time to relax and chat. You are welcome to bring your own food - alternatively, you can get something to eat in the immediate vicinity.
