Our bread is daily, sacred, physical, sensual and nostalgic. It smells and stinks. It becomes sticky, hairy, fluffy and rock-hard. Even though bread is considered a cultural asset, it is subjectivized by individual taste preferences. The exhibition "It's like rubbing your skin with salt. Rub Rub" should be understood as an "oven" in which a special atmosphere is created. Berfin Arslan, Jenni Hoppel, Finnja Giesberts, Alina Koshuba, Juli Lee, Jana Nestler and Alla Zhyvotova present their meditations on bread, dough, craftsmanship and sensuality in the former baking room, in the exhibition hall of the Weltkunstzimmer.
