Mirror of the year 2025

Contemporary art is a mirror of the times.

Our image of the world is changing.
Global political crises and catastrophes all over our planet, changes in the digital world and the constant threat to economic security are all reasons for this.
We urgently need to take a distanced view.
Where do we stand? What can we influence ourselves? And if so, how?
Does the good, the beautiful, the kind - the happiness we all seek - still exist?
In the Kölner Graphikwerkstatt, people work on their art in printmaking and find the necessary distance in this creative break, which can reveal new perspectives and paths.

This is precisely the current focus of the Kunstverein für Druckkunst's 2025 annual edition.
Guillermo Malfitani, painter and printmaker from Cologne, has provided the intaglio print "Justice with a dog" with the subtitle "Lazy justice".

From November 28, the "Jahresspiegel " will be showing the annual edition and other current works from the workshop.
