JAJAJA Radio Atopial: The Return of the Firefly-Rave

The life art guerrilla JAJAJA occupies the avant-garden one last time and celebrates productive restlessness and physical dance frenzy.

DE Since 2014, JAJAJA has been the lucky performance substance of the summer festival - and now also Hamburg's art city figurehead with engagements at the Schauspielhaus or with the group Hajusom. At Radio Atopia, the original idea of atopia (Greek a-topos = without place) becomes physical: radically different musical worlds broadcast simultaneously into the ether from three mini-stage studios. The participants are transformed into a dancing swarm of tri-colored fireflies. All the audience has to do is grab one of the 180 free headphones and choose from three different channels, each of which makes the headphones glow in a different color. The repertoire of the JAJAJA performance family ranges from interactive choreographies to Dada radio plays and EDM disco sets. It consists of actress and performer Iris Minich, sound artist and performer Arvild J. Baud and their son, musician and performer Oskar Minich, as well as changing guests. For the last summer festival edition before the refurbishment of the Kampnagel halls, JAJAJA will also be performing on Thursdays, known as Little Fridays, in addition to the weekend.
