After recently returning with the new songs "Blindside" and "A Year Ago", James Arthur announced his fifth studio album "Bitter Sweet Love", which will be released on January 26, 2024 by Columbia Records. In addition, the British musician announced his return to the stage with a major tour of the UK and Europe. In the period from January 26 to February 19, he can then also be seen live in Germany: in Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin. "Bitter Sweet Love" will not only include the two recently released singles, but is also arguably his best album to date with thirteen high profile songs. Based on his previous stage experiences, James Arthur realized how his fifth album should sound. The visitors of his sold-out concerts sang along with the songs and provided an emotional roller coaster. Within days of the end of the tour in the U.S., the musician began working with various producers to see who would be most suitable to work with him. Finally, he landed in L.A. with Steve Solomon, with whom he had written his megahit "Say You Won't Let Go" in 2016. When he was back in the UK, James Arthur tried to collaborate with more producers. However, none of these collaborations were comparable to the one with Steve Solomon. Finally, Steve flew to England last summer to finish the album at Miloco Studios in South London, producing a mature work that is profound and exhibits the impeccable songwriting qualities that have characterized James Arthur's success to this day. The Middlesbrough native and recent Brit Billion Award winner has released four top 10 albums, with 2016's "Back From The Edge" reaching #1 in the UK charts. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Anne-Marie, Sigala, Rudimental, Marshmello and many others. James is one of the most successful streaming artists in the world with over 38 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone. He had his breakthrough in the U.S. with "Say You Won't Let Go." The song was also officially the most streamed song in the UK in 2016, with over 4 billion streams. The video for the song has been viewed 1.5 billion times on YouTube. Earlier this year, the track became his first RIAA Diamond Single with 10 million units certified - making James Arthur one of only 100 recipients of an RIAA Diamond Single certification. His other hit singles include "Impossible," "Can I Be Him," "Sun Comes Up," "Naked," "Empty Space," "Rewrite The Stars," "Falling Like the Stars," "Train Wreck" and "Lasting Lover," all of which have gone platinum. The song "Cars Outside" is currently writing another worldwide success story for James. The record "Back from the Edge" was released in October 2016 and entered the UK album charts at No. 1. His last long player, 2021's "It'll All Make Sense In The End," was a home-recorded project that relied heavily on programmed beats.
