Jan Delay & Disco No. 1

Jan Delay has been in show business for decades and is one of Germany's biggest musical entertainers. Since 1999, the Hamburg native has been making crowds dance, party, groove and rave. The concert at the Monheim Summer is a unique homage to the solo career of the musician with the nasal voice and the obligatory headgear, spanning a quarter of a century plus two years. Who doesn't remember such legendary albums as "Searching for the Jan Soul Rebels", the gold-winning "Mercedes Dance", "Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Soul" and "Hammer & Michel" through to "Earth, Wind and Feiern".

Jan Delay is so successful because despite his stylistic diversity, from reggae and German rap to funk and soul, the common thread of his love of music always remains recognizable. He is an icon of German pop. His original form of dance music simply gets everyone moving live and makes it impossible to sit still. Always on hand is the great live band Disko No. 1, which supports Jan Delay with tons of danceable grooves to celebrate a big party with the audience.
