Japan-Tag in den Düsseldorf Arcaden

Calligraphy, cherry blossoms and creative hands-on activities: To coincide with Japan Day in Düsseldorf, Düsseldorf Arcaden is bringing a piece of Japanese culture to the heart of Bilk. Visitors can look forward to a colorful program for the whole family on Saturday, 23 May.

A special highlight for children awaits with the chopstick school: with the friendly support of the Asian supermarket The Gangnam, young guests will learn to eat with chopsticks in a playful way - and can try out their new skills directly in the BILK SATT food court. Those who take part in the chopstick school will receive a pair of practice chopsticks as a gift afterwards*.

Get creative with a calligraphy activity. Under guidance, guests learn about the artful Japanese script and can design their own bookmark. Manga fans will also get their money's worth: a manga drawing workshopwill provide insights into the art of manga drawing in several express workshops.

An atmospheric photo spot with a cherry blossom tree in the basement in front of dm-drogerie markt provides the perfect souvenir photo. This makes a visit to the Düsseldorf Arcaden not only a small excursion into Japanese culture, but also a beautiful memory for the whole family.

If you want to round off your Japan Day with a culinary experience, The Gangnam on the second floor offers a wide selection of Japanese specialties and other Asian foods.
