Jaroslav Rudiš: Wo die Toten sprechen
In the organizer's words:
Lorenzo, Caspar, and Miss Detroit—three friends caught between middle age and weariness with life—set off on an unusual road trip through Central Europe. In the trunk: the stolen bones of a Nazi criminal—an absurd mission that takes them through cemeteries, landscapes, and Europe’s repressed history.
While Lorenzo works on a poem about dead poets, Miss Detroit dreams of cemetery botany, and Caspar is haunted by memories of his family history. With each stop, the three grow closer not only geographically but also emotionally—and grapple with the question of what the dead tell us about the living.
